Genealogy and Family Research Services
There are two ways to obtain information from our genealogy library:
- Visit us during our open hours or by appointment, and we will assist you in finding information..
- Contact us via email, telephone, or letter, and we will do the research for you.
To maintain, preserve and enlarge our materials collection, it is necessary that we ask for a small donation for the use of our collection and the work of our volunteers.
- To use our facilities, we request a donation of $10.00 per visit, for members of the society use of the library is covered by membership.
- If we do the research for you, we request $10.00 per half hour. Since our volunteers are quite familiar with our resources, the average amount of time necessary to determine if there is information about a family is usually less than one hour.
- While we do not bill patrons when we are unable to find information, we appreciate donations made in recognition of the volunteer's research time and efforts.
- In either instance, copying is $.25 per page.
If you request us to do the research for you, it is important that you tell us specifically what you want us to find, for example, the name of the individual(s), the inclusive dates, and the town where the person(s) may have been located. Please also include your postal address.
